Wine Away With Me: A Wine and Cheese Experience at Shangri-La The Fort's High Street Lounge

Fridays are more than enough reasons to celebrate. So why not wine away with me...at High Street Lounge.


High Street Lounge at Shangri-La The Fort makes every last Friday of the month extra special with Wine Away With Me, a unique wine and cheese experience from 8:00 pm to 10:30pm offering a wide and extensive selection of premium wines, cheeses, and charcuterie. Wine, cheese, and charcuterie plus a live jazz performance, this is Friday happy hour with a classy spin...at High Street Lounge.


Located beside High Street Cafe (for more on Shangri-La The Fort's High Street Cafe, see my earlier post, A Christmas Thanksgiving Feast at Shangri-La The Fort's High Street Cafe), High Street Lounge is the perfect spot to relax and chill, celebrate the end of another long week, or simply pass the time for the metro's legendary traffic. And there's just no better way to unwind than with wine and cheese right here at the heart of Bonifacio Global City. Fridays definitely got a whole lot better...


The featured wines at High Street Lounge's wine and cheese experience highlights a variety of reds, whites, and rose wine from boutique wineries sourced all over the world and curated by Sommelier Selection. The friendly staff at the different wine stations will gladly guide you through each of the different wines, and if you find one that you enjoy, you've found your partner for the evening. Then again, that's what makes Wine Away With Me at High Street Lounge so special, you can explore, discover, and savor the different wines at your own pace, all in one place.

The different stations inside the elegant and spacious High Street Lounge offer a wide variety of hard and soft cheeses with an equally extensive selection of charcuterie, dried fruits, and nuts, everything you need for that perfect wine and cheese experience. Simply pick up a plate and load up...


After a few rounds of wine, you'll want some tasty nibbles. And High Street Lounge has it all laid for you. Spanish Iberico, chorizo, Italian prosciutto, French saucisson, sausages, hams, dried fruits, and nuts and more, take your pick...


...and come back for seconds. And thirds. And if you haven't had dinner, no worries. If you have dinner plans, then you're in trouble. The impressive charcuterie is a meal in itself.


Then, there's the cheese...


You'll find familiar ones and discover new varieties too. Soft and hard cheeses. Cheeses made from cow and goat's milk. French, Spanish, Italian, you name it.


Add some olives, figs and some bread to your plate, and try more wines. Enjoy the subtle nuances of the various wines from different regions. You may not be a wine expert at the end of the wine and cheese experience at High Street Lounge, but you'll be one happy dude when this once a month event is over.


Sip and savor a variety of free flow boutique red and white wines from different regions paired with an equally extensive selection of artisanal cheeses and premium charcuterie for only P 2,500 net per person at High Street Lounge every last Friday of the month (that's September 29, October 27, and November 24, 2017, just in case you want make some early reservations) from 8:00pm to 10:30pm.
