Subversive Collaborations: Pia Y Damaso at the Good Food Tour with Foodpanda and Discover MNL

One of the country's leading online food delivery websites and social media influencers collaborate with some of the metro's best restaurants for a unique taste of Filipino cuisine...it's the Good Food Tour by Foodpanda and Discover MNL.

Foodpanda Philippines and Discover MNL recently hosted the Good Food Tour showcasing the best local flavors with a stop at Restaurante Pia Y Damaso for a taste of their unique "subversive Filipino cuisine." My Good Food Tour began with Pia Y Damaso's flavorful Chinese Lumpia Salad,  their inventive take on the classic dish reinvented and executed with that distinct "subversive" spin. Fresh and clean flavors, comfortingly familiar yet refreshingly different (more on Pia Y Damaso's innovative culinary style on my previous posts, Back for More at Pia Y Damaso with their unique take on subversive Filipino cuisine, more on their signature dishes at A Subversive Filipino Feast at Restaurante Pia Y Damaso, and sweet treats on Merienda with a Seditious Spin). And there's more...

And you can expect even more rich and diverse flavors with Foodpanda Philippines, an online food delivery website offering over a thousand restaurants providing quick, easy, and convenient access with a simple click or tap on the screen or mobile (for more details on the Good Food Tour, see the links below from Foodpanda and Discover MNL).

During the Good Food Tour, Restaurante Pia Y Damaso also shared their new dishes, including the sweet and savory Pina Pork Cilantro with tender and juicy pork glazed with pineapple and cilantro. The richness of the pork is tempered by the sharp tart notes of the pineapple and cilantro with a hint of sweetness for balanced flavors.

Chicken or the egg? Restaurante Pia Y Damaso combines both in one dish, with their new Fried Chicken with Salted Egg and Cilantro. The strips of juicy chicken contrast with the crispness of the fried chicken skin for texture, rounded out by the bold notes of the salted duck egg for intense flavors. The complex flavors and textures combine in a seamless blend, releasing a burst of rich flavors with every bite.

Restaurante Pia Y Damaso then served another new dish inspired by another character from El Filibusterismo, a recurring theme with the restaurant's subversive Filipino cuisine, the Placido Penitente with Mussel Cerveza Cream. A comforting dish with seafood cooked with beer, it's a complete meal in one dish. Squeeze some lemon, and dive right in.

Restaurante Pia Y Damaso caps our dinner with their signature desserts, the Ensaimada and Belgian Bibingka Waffle served with thick Spanish-style chocolate (for more on Pia Y Damaso's signature desserts, see my earlier post  on Sweet Indulgences at Pia Y Damaso). Hungry? No worries. Now you can have Restaurante Pia Y Damaso's signature dishes conveniently delivered via Foodpanda in just a few clicks...

Restaurante Pia Y Damaso is located at the Second Floor of Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati, or call 729-5511 for inquiries and reservations.
